In the third book in the Atlantis series, archaeologist Conrad Yeats discovers, in the ruins of a submerged Nazi submarine, the key to an ancient conspiracy with contemporary ties. He and Sister Serena Serghetti must work together to prevent Armageddon. Scott Brick's performance is a mixed bag. He delivers an exciting reading, but it lacks variety in tempo. There are many foreign accents called for, and Brick has problems not only with keeping the accents consistent, but also with some of the accents themselves. And he doesn't succeed with Serena's voice, which combines a female timbre and an Australian accent. However, those who enjoyed the first two books, as well as fans of Dan Brown's bestsellers, may enjoy this. S.S.R. (c) AudioFile 2009, Portland, Maine
