Award-winning author Linda Windsor's "Hystericals" (suspenseful romantic comedies) have won her critical praise and widespread popularity. In Blue Moon, a beautiful PhD and a swashbuckling boat captain chase after a lost treasure- and each other. Jeanne Madison sets off with her graduate students to find the Luna Azul and must team up with a rough-and-tumble skipper. But an ethically deprived rival and a growing attraction to the captain stands in her way. "Exotic setting, high adventure, sassy romance, and hilarity, all woven together with a strong thread of faith."-Deborah Raney, author of Over the Waters

A reassuring romantic adventure is chock full of colorful, albeit stock, characters and predictable situations for those who wish to believe that God concerns Himself with trifles and that pluck, faith, and true love always prevail. The true-believing heroine is engaged on a hunt in Mexico for the LUNA AZUL, a sunken eighteenth-century craft. The virile, godless ship's captain she hires attracts her irresistibly in spite of, or perhaps because of, his rough edges. Complicating matters are a craven academic and unscrupulous treasure-hunters. Narrator Kate Forbes has the appropriate ingenue's sincerity for such fare, fine diction, and an engaging manner. She should have toned down the gravitas, however, for the author's tone cannot support it. Y.R. (c) AudioFile 2006, Portland, Maine
